Thoughts on the new TV season

I'm gonna miss Eureka; it finished its first season this week with 12 episodes. It sounds like they attained good viewership, so they should be back next season. It's a very enjoyable new show.

Now, to go through my week of TV viewing.

Monday

Heroes seems to have a lot of potential, and good viewership as well. The writing is strong. I hope it can keep going.

Studio 60 is surprising. I watched the premiere because of all the buzz on my favorite daily podcast, Buzz Out Loud. THe writing there is absolutely brilliant. I'm really enjoying the show.

Tuesday

Eureka was my only Tuesday show. Thank goodness I have a night to just read!

Wednesday

Bones is going strong. I'm not too fond of the new boss, but she's not quite as annoying as she was at the beginning of the season. I hope they bring the old boss back; I miss his rapport with the rest of the Jeffersonian team.

Lost. I have been watching it religiously since the series premiere. I've converted many friends and family to Lost viewers. I'm a dedicated listener of the podcast, even though it ventures into uber-lameness. I love this show.

I was worried about this season, as I was rather upset and disappointed about the season two finale. They have redeemed themselves. What a brilliant season premiere!

Out of curiosity, I recorded the premiere of The Nine. I found time to watch it last night, when I was waiting for Six Degrees to come on. The Nine is a pretty good show. I'm not sure I'll follow it all season, but the cliffhanger at the end made sure I'll be tuning in next week.

Thursday

I'm a big fan of J. J. Abrams, so I'm following Six Degrees. It's good, but not as intriguing as Heroes. I've not yet lost interest. We shall see.

Friday

Battlestar Galactica. Wow. Again, I've been a fan since the beginning. I follow the podcast closely.

Again, I was a bit disappointed with where the end of the previous season left off. And again, I'm blown away by the season premiere. Brilliant, disturbing, intriguing. This is going to be one heck of a season for Galactica.

And it seems this is going to be one heck of a season of television for me. Seven active series. Four nights of TV. Good grief.
