Happy TLAP day

Happy Talk Like A Pirate day. Here's my pirate name:

My pirate name is:

Dirty Tom Flint

You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

Gapless playback rules!

I was pretty excited when I heard earlier this week that Apple has added gapless playback to iTunes in version 7. They also said that the new iPods would have this feature, but they did not say whether this feature would make it into the existing iPods.

I updated to iTunes 7 yesterday, and today I let iTunes update my 5th gen iPod to software version 1.2. I tested on my iPod an album which I flagged for gapless playback, and ... surprise! It works perfectly! So nice.

Most popular cameras on Flickr

I noticed this article on Slashdot this morning. It links to a summary of the most popular cameras used to take pictures uploaded to Flickr. My camera is not there, but its big brothers, Canon Digital SLRs, are. Nice.

This is an interesting article...

I know it's been way too long since I last posted, and I probably should post some general update. But to be completely honest, not much has happened in the past few months. Here's a fairly accurate one-sentence summary: I've been studying theology.

I found this incredible article today on Christianity Today's web site:

A Divine Conspirator - Christianity Today Magazine
Dallas Willard is on a quiet quest to subvert nominal Christianity.

I'm only halfway through the article. So far, I agree with Dr. Willard's point of view. I can't wait to read the article more thoroughly. If you have any thoughts on this article, please comment. I'd love to have a discussion on it.
