report
Marcus is seated at his desk, deeply focused on the book in front of him. His has the appearance of a tall, dark European man in his mid forties. His presence is striking; he has an air of power and he commands respect, almost deference.
A raven flies into the room through the open window.
As the raven heads toward a landing on the floor in the middle of the room, it morphs into a tall, striking young woman in black, with fair, almost pale skin and long, straight, auburn hair.
"Report," Marcus commanded.
"I have located Dr. Douglas. He is in the home he purchased down the street from here. He has his student Edward Stiles with him; they're watching your estate. They haven't seen the operation going on outside. They seem to be alone. Shall we move on them now?", Leslie responded.
"No; let them watch. We will move on them at a more opportune and unexpected time. We have work yet to do. Is there anything else?"
"No, my lord. It was a quiet night in the City. I've seen no sign of the Lycans, but I didn't look beyond the two cities."
"Good. Go get some rest; there is much yet to be done."
"Yes, my lord."
Leslie left the study toward her room, closing the door quietly on her way out.
Marcus go up and closed the window. He picked up his book and sat down in a large, welcoming wingback chair in front of the crackling fireplace. "Yes, much work yet to be done, " he says to himself as he becomes lost in the book.
