bike update

I rode three times this pass weekend, and I feel great. It's so nice to be getting exercise again.

I rode Friday morning by myself. I had a few issues with my bike. I got those issues resolved Saturday; I found out my bike was too small for me, so I exchanged my blue 20" Trek 7.3 FX for a black 22.5" 7.3 FX. Jeff at Cyclepath Hayward took very good care of me.

The new bike works so much better! My brother and I rode together Saturday evening, and then again Sunday evening; it was great!

Now I need only figure out how to ride during the week. Right now, my plan is to ride Tuesday and Thursday morning before going to work. I'll start tomorrow.

Sounds like fun!!!

I've been riding my bike to work for about 4 months. Since moving back from Denver and living with all the "greenies" I thought I'd give it a try on the biker-unfriendly streets of Dallas. Scary stuff.
btw, I think I have the same bike - probably the smaller version. I enjoy it too.

Sweeet. We should get together and go for a ride on the trial through town sometime.

Where are you riding, anywhere in particular? Or just cruising through town?

Hobbes,

We ride through town for now. I'm working on building up my endurance, so I can't ride far; my range is about 6.5 miles now, but it's going up every ride. I'll need to upgrade my wheels before I can ride on anything but the smoothest trails; they're not very tough and I'm a heavy load.
