Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I went to see the new Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and I think it's awesome. In ways, it's my favorite movie of the series so far. Dumbledore rules in this one! I also love Luna.

Truly good stuff; highly recommended. It's tempted me even more to read the series. I bought the first two books on Monday; I'll start the first when I'm done with the book I'm reading now: Robert Heinlein's For Us the Living.

I can't believe you haven't read these yet! They get better and better each book... you will notice lots of new things though, things that didn't make it into the movies. Books are ALWAYS better!

Kim,

I'm also surprised I've not yet read them. I think it's been that I've not yet made them a priority -- I've had lots of other things to read.

Hearing the reviews of book 7 piqued my interest, so I picked up the first two.

Seeing movie 5 last night and then reading the reviews that mention its poor adaptation have only reinforced my desire to start reading.

I finished my Heinlein book this morning, and will start book 1 tonight. I will also order the balance of the series from Amazon today.

As to whether books are always better: I agree, if the book was written first. It's hardly ever true if the movie is made first.
